Below is the remainder of my take on Shasha’s alphabet. The only thing I haven’t figured out yet is the “hamza,” which is really, really hard.

And here’s testing it out in sentence construction:


It took me a while to take my sketches from paper to the digital realm, as I had to make some major changes in terms of the rules applying to stroke variations. I also worked on increasing the amount of space in most letters’ x-height vicinity to make them as easy on the eye as possible in small tight sizes.
The letters shown here are the core letters that make up the DNA of my alphabet, which takes the longest time to construct. I think the tests below show a success in the applicability of these letters. This should make the digital construction of the remainder of the alphabet a relative breeze.


Sousou, our temporary office mascot on loan, is giving us her firm opinion on our Shasha sketches right now. It’s a hard day at the office.
